Biography Dan Sugrue graduated from IIT-Chicago Kent Law
School in 1989. He
went to the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana and graduated
in 1986, with a B.A. in economics and double minors in history and
political science. He
attended St. Laurence college preparatory high school, was in honors classes
all four years, and played on the varsity football team. Dan started his legal career as a paralegal for a few downtown Chicago
firms during law school. After graduation, he went into practice
with his cousin, Lucy Sugrue at the firm of Sugrue & Sugrue in
New Lenox, Ill. For
two years, Dan learned the ins and outs of real estate closings, wills, bankruptcies
and the like. He then accepted a position at Al Salvi & Associates in Waukegan,
Ill. That firm concentrates its practice in personal injury
litigation. For
four years, Dan represented clients at arbitrations and jury trials
in Lake County, Ill. and was the firm's worker's compensation
attorney. During that time,
Al Salvi ran for the U.S. Senate, and Dan joined the campaign, serving as
the media contact for the first few months before the primary. In 1998, Dan left the firm and started his own practice. Dan's
wide range of experience allows him to enjoy practicing law in personal
injury, worker's compensation, real estate closings, bankruptcies,
wills, adoptions, trusts, etc.
He taught college classes in real estate math, and real estate
investments.
Dan is married and has three young children. |
